Professor Abdullah Hassan Ali Barakat Joins Benaa Elmosleh Academy as Dean

Benaa Elmosleh Academy is pleased and honoured to share with its students, their families and its friends the news that His Eminence Professor Abdullah Hassan Ali Barakat — may Allah preserve him and grant benefit through his knowledge — has joined the Academy as its Dean.

His Eminence assumes the academic and administrative leadership of the Academy, with general oversight of its curricula, its teaching faculty and its administrative affairs, in service of its mission to build a reforming generation.

We ask Allah Almighty to bless his knowledge, his life and his work, and to make his assumption of this responsibility a source of goodness and blessing for the Academy and its students.

About the Dean

• Professor of Religions and Sects, Faculty of Islamic Daʿwa, Al-Azhar University (full professor since 2001).

• PhD in Religions and Sects, Faculty of Usul al-Din, Al-Azhar University (1989).

• Former Dean, Faculty of Islamic Daʿwa (2005–2007).

• Former Chair, Department of Religions and Sects (2002–2005).

• Author of over twenty works on Islamic daʿwa and comparative religion.
